Sea Lions

Sea Lions are majestic creatures that I had the honor of watching. During my trip to the San Juans I was able to watch the sea lions swim smoothly throughout the San Juan's, along with watching them sun bath upon the rocks. These amazing creatures are probably my favorite animals I got to see on my unforgetable experience.

Although Sea Lions may look fat and slow, they really aren’t, they can travel up to speeds of about 17 miles per hour. These quick creatures can be found throughout the San Juan's and are only prey to the killer whale. The Sea Lions are carnivores who mainly feed on bottom fish, such as skate, small sharks, squids, and various species of rock fish.

I can relate to these animals very well because we are both lazy creatures that can be quick when we want to be. Sea Lions are very beautiful animals that everyone, especially me love to watch. The San Juan's brought to me an experience I will never forget, and the Sea Lions just made it better for me.
