Grey Reef Sharks
Torpedo-shaped and up to 7', the grey reef shark often travels in schools of 20 - 100, cooperating to ambush schools of small fish. This shark can be aggressive, especially when defending its territory. Also known as Longnose blacktail shark, the grey reef shark is common in the S. Pacific shallow tropical waters. A species suspected as occurring at Palmyra, according to photographer.
