Caucasus Mountains of Georgia Focus of Premier Expedition

EPSON Signs on as Major Sponsor

CLINTON, Washington, USA --- FusionSpark Media, Inc., a start-up web content production company with offices in Clinton, Whidbey Island, Wash., and Nagoya, Japan, will launch an internet community featuring leading wilderness and nature photographers on expeditions throughout the World.

The company's premier expedition , "Georgia Revealed: Searching for the Soul of the Caucasus," will take place in the Caucasus Mountains Region of the Country of Georgia from April 16 - 29. The two-week expedition will feature daily updates of photography, writing and streaming audio and video from the expedition team members.

Russell Sparkman, president and CEO of FusionSpark Media, announced recently received major sponsorship from Seiko Epson Corp., a leading supplier of photo imaging products, including photo printers, digital cameras and scanners, designed for the professional, hobbyist and consumer marketplace. The One World Journeys team will integrate Epson digital cameras and printers into the expedition. Epson is also donating digital cameras and printers to the Georgia Protected Areas Development Center to assist in the creation of educational literature and reports for The World Bank and other organizations.

"We are excited about the opportunity to work with One World Journeys to help tell the World about the natural beauty of Georgia and our efforts to protect our wilderness lands," said Paata Shanshiashvili, director of the Protected Areas Development Center.'s premier live expedition is being produced in collaboration with for the site's new Camera Works channel.

The expedition is inspired by the work of wilderness landscape photographer Pat O'Hara who is documenting the country's system of nature reserves, national parks and protected lands in the Caucasus Mountains region. O'Hara's efforts are coordinated through the Protected Areas Development Center in support of President Eduard Shevardnadze's mission to protect and preserve Georgia's natural resources, stimulate economic development and promote tourism of this virtually undiscovered land. O'Hara, of Port Angeles, Wash., is a widely acclaimed photographer whose work has been the subject of 14 books during the past 20 years.

O'Hara will be joined by Sparkman, a photographer and digital imaging expert, and London-based writers Eleanor O'Hanlon and Peter Nasmyth, author of the book "Georgia: In the Mountains of Poetry." The expedition team will also include Denise Rocco, a seasoned internet expedition producer and internationally recognized documentary photographer whose work includes several expeditions for Microsoft's online magazine and award-winning expeditions by The home team Executive Producer is Christian Kallen who has extensive experience producing expeditions for both and

Web users who visit will be treated to a rich visual presentation of Georgian society and the country's natural heritage." also plans to offer photo workshops, outdoor adventure and wilderness travel advice, ecotourism information and links as well as ecommerce opportunities including outdoor gear, photographic print sales and more.

Other expeditions this year will include Journey into the Sonoran Desert featuring the work of Pulitzer prize winning journalist and photographer Jack Dykinga of Tuscon, Az. A third expedition this year will take place in the jungles of Mexico and feature Patricio Robles Gil, of Mexico City, a highly acclaimed wilderrness photographer and co-author of the photo books Mega Diversity and Hotspots which were produced along with Conservation International. is presented in partnership with Nature's Best Magazine, an award-winning nature and wilderness photography magazine published in McLean, Va.
